Περίληψη: The article focuses on the rise and responses of pro-European (Europeanist) actors amid the European Union’s (EU) polycrisis, which includes the Eurozone, migration, Brexit, and rule of law crises. It examines how new political parties, movements, and civil society groups across EU member states and candidate countries have emerged to counter growing Euroscepticism, often advocating for deeper European integration. Key cases include Emmanuel Macron’s centrist pro-EU initiatives in France, new Europeanist parties in Italy and Portugal, and pro-EU coalitions in Central and Eastern Europe, where strategic and ideological Europeanism coexist amid nationalist pressures. The article also highlights the challenges these actors face in organizational cohesion and electoral success, as well as the influence of economic perceptions and geopolitical events, such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, on public support for the EU.
