Περίληψη: Computer programming is widely recognized as a challenging field of study. This difficulty was evident among RC-AKICFI students enrolled in a basic programming course, where many struggled and failed. To address this issue, this research explored the use of computer-aided drills and practice as a supplementary learning method and measure its impact on students' learning outcomes and assessment performance. A computer-based drill-and-practice application is a system that allows users to repeatedly practice a skill or body of knowledge to increase proficiency. The system designed for this study was evaluated for validity and acceptability using Pacol and Patacsil's (2017) survey. Results indicated a high level of validity and acceptability. Additionally, the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an excellent usability rating of 81.13. To assess learning outcomes, a survey based on Savitch's (2015) criteria, validated through Cronbach's Alpha, was conducted. Students reported significant improvements in understanding the topics taught. Assessment performance was measured through a comparison of test scores before and after using the application. Results revealed a substantial increase in scores, indicating improved performance. Furthermore, a significant correlation was found between learning outcomes and assessment performance. Hence, the computer-aided drill-and-practice application proved to be a valid, usable, and effective tool for enhancing programming skills, as reflected in students' improved learning outcomes and assessment results.
