Περίληψη: As the demand for renewable energy sources is increasing due to the depletion of fossil fuels, environmental concerns and cost reduction, solar energy is emerging as a crucial option due to its high sustainability and availability. However, In order to maximize energy utilization while ensuring long-term system reliability, efficient solar power management is necessary, which is made possible by the Solar Charge Controller. This project presents the design and software implementation of High Efficiency Solar charge controller using Arduino, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and protection of the charging process. This system uses Arduino to continuously monitor the battery voltage and controls whether to route power from solar panel for battery charging or supply it to the load, based on predefined thresholds. Furthermore, an OLED display is used to show the real-time data such as battery voltage, charging status and temperature. The project was developed and simulated using Proteus software, where the functionality of the controller was thoroughly tested and validated. The results demonstrate that the controller efficiently manages the power transfer from the solar panel to the battery and load, which can be used in solar energy applications, offering a scalable and cost-effective solution for optimizing renewable energy systems.
