Περίληψη: For financial sustainability and service-based efficiency in healthcare services, there is a need for better understanding and application of cost analysis, Break-even Point (BEP) analysis, and Cost-benefit Analysis (CBA). The present article focuses specifically on Paediatric spirometry and highlights literature and case-based evidence to show how BEP helps determine the minimum service volume required for cost recovery. Evaluating healthcare expenditures against medical benefits, pricing decisions, and investment planning is crucial from a healthcare administration perspective, and these objectives can be achieved through CBA. The present review emphasises the importance of structured financial planning to ensure high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services by integrating break-even and cost-benefit analyses.
