Abstract: The article focuses on the effectiveness and safety of lebrikizumab, an anti-interleukin-13 antibody, for treating moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) based on a 24-week analysis from the Czech BIOREP registry. The study involved 181 patients, with 63.7% achieving an Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI)-75 response after 16 weeks, and a notable difference in response rates between treatment-naïve patients and those who previously failed dupilumab therapy. Adverse events were reported in 13.8% of patients, primarily conjunctivitis, but none were serious. The findings suggest that lebrikizumab is effective and safe in real-world settings, although prior treatment failures may impact efficacy. [Extracted from the article]
